Responsible conduct in research and research ethics

Taking on the role of a scientist also means responsible conduct in research. Gareth O'Neill, University of Leiden, Outgoing President of Eurodoc – The European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers

Open Science and Plan S and what we have to know about it

Gareth O’Neill:Plan S is a bold and ambitious move for researchers to take back control of access to scientific publications. Author retention of copyrights, a funding boycott on hybrid publishing, and a funding cap on publication fees are especially radical. It is now crucial that early-career and senior researchers are heard to develop and implement the principles and make Plan S a success”. (http://eurodoc.net/plan-s)

Gareth O'Neill is Linguist and Outgoing President of Eurodoc, interested in science policy and Open Science in Europe. He is involved in the Dutch National Plan for Open Science, expert on Open Science for the European Commission, and member of H2020 Advisory Group on MSCA.
